MEMBERSHIP FEES

WildCare needs to set membership fees for next year. In addition to adult memberships, there will be a two new options for younger members. WildCare Teens will be for 13-19 year olds and WildCare Kids for under 13s.

WildCare is charity so the aim is to break even, not to make a big profit. If membership fees are too high, some members may not renew and there will be fewer new members.

Look at this spreadsheet and make sure you understand the data provided. This data must not be changed.

Develop the spreadsheet to:

• show income and outgoings for each month of next year
• allow you to try out different values for the new membership options
• allow you to try out different increases in fees for existing membership options

Ask your test buddy to test the spreadsheet and give you feedback. Make changes if necessary.

You need to make sure that the fees are realistic.

Investigate membership fees charged by similar organisations and complete this table.

Decide on the best combination of membership fees needed to break even without overcharging members.

Save your final spreadsheet in your EVIDENCE folder so that the moderator can view the breakeven results and the formulae.
