You need to find out about:

• what competition you would face
• whether there is a market for it
• resources needed and likely set-up costs
• legal constraints.

As well as internet research you could interview potential customers, present your idea to a focus group or conduct a survey or straw poll.

Make sure you save evidence of your research findings. You will need to summarise this information and present to the team.
