SCENARIO

There is a great disaster in our land. Is there any hope?

 

In this project you will create a game where a new hero/heroine tries to save the planet. The game can be about anything that would appeal to under-12 year olds. It could be about an alien attack, an asteroid hitting earth, or the long term effects of global warming. Use your imagination.

 

You should aim for an original game that offers the best playability and interactivity features for your target audience. To create a good game from a good idea requires good designs.

 

Here's what you have to do:

• produce a proposal, including a moodboard, and get approval from your teacher
• design and develop the game, recording progress throughout
• create a showcase for the game
• produce a game review

Please note that you do NOT have to create an eportfolio for this unit. Instead, you must create a showcase for your game. Make sure that you understand what is required.

 

So, where should you start?

 

First, read through the whole brief to find out more about what you have to do.

 

Create a folder called D205SPB09 which contains two sub-folders:

1. a folder called Game for your game, showcase and review

2. a folder called Development for supporting evidence
