Understanding the mark scheme If you look at the mark scheme in the specification you will see that it only tells you what you need to do to gain some of the marks - 1, 3, 5 and sometimes 7 and 9. For example, for the project plan only the requirements for 1, 3, and 5 marks are shown. But you can be awarded any mark between 1 and the maximum for the task. So how do you get the marks in between? It depends on how much you have done. If you do more than is required for 1 mark but not enough for 3 marks, you may be awarded 2. If you have not done quite enough for 5 you may be awarded 4, and so on. The message is: DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! |
