How do I get good marks?
- As you read the SPB, make a list of everything you need to do.
- Use either a table or a chart for your plan that includes:
- task number
- description
- start date
- finish date
- time allowed
- notes, such as when you completed.
- Put the tasks in a sensible order.
- Decide how long you will spend on each task.
- Build in some extra time in case things go wrong.
- Agree your plan with your teacher.
- Meet your deadlines by sticking to your plan.
- Keep a record of the changes you make to the plan.
What will lose me marks?
- If you rush your plan and end up making quick decisions – such as allocating an unreasonable time scale.
- If your plan does not make sense.
- If you produce your plan but never look at it again!
- If you produce your plan after you have completed your project! And, yes, we can usually tell!
- If you do not meet your deadlines.
- If your plan is the same as everyone else's.
FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL!
