GATHERING ELEMENTS

You cannot gather the elements you need until you have produced detailed designs and got feedback on them. However, you can start to get organised.

Create an elements table to record details of each element. Here is an example of an elements table to start you off.

You should use the first four columns to record the location of each element you gather. You only need to complete the other columns for elements you actually use.

The table should contain all elements from primary and secondary sources, not just images.

Save your elements table for your eportfolio. Keep it up-to-date throughout the project.

Producing original elements

Rather than search for suitable ready-made elements , it is often easier and more effective to produce them yourself. For example, you could take photographs or produce drawings.

Using existing elements

You should only use copyright-free material in your products.
