D202 Multimedia Summative Project Brief 2006
PROJECT REVIEW
When you have finished everything else, you must carry out a review of the whole project. Think about what went well and what went wrong so that you can learn by your mistakes. Remember that the audience for this is the moderator. Try to be honest, even when talking about yourself!
You must consider these three areas:
1 The project as a whole.
Think about:
- what the project set out to achieve
- to what extent you have met the objectives
- how well your plan worked
- how well you managed your time
- whether you chose the right people as your test users and reviewers
- what, if anything, went wrong
- what others had to say
- what improvements you would make if you had time
- what you would do differently if you did the project again
Use feedback from others to support what you have to say.
2 The multimedia products
For each product, including your eportfolio, think about whether:
- it gets the right message across to the intended audience
- it meets all the requirements
- the file format and resolution are suitable
- the individual assets work together effectively
3 Your own performance
Questions you should ask include:
- How well did you work during the project?
- How do you think your work on this project affected your performance in other work?
- How have you benefited from working on the project?
- What would you do differently if you did the project again?
How will you present your review?
Your review could be any combination of:
- A word-processed report
- a verbal evaluation recorded in sound or video
- a presentation
Try to make it as interesting as possible for the moderator. You could include links to relevant areas of the eportfolio to illustrate points you are making. Some of your comments on the publications will probably be included in your commentaries – this is fine!
Convert your review to acceptable file format(s) if necessary and include it in your eportfolio. Make sure that you include links to these files on the context⁄commentary pages and that they work.
